Glacial Deposits: The terrain of Hastings County was shaped by movements of glaciers tens of thousands of years ago. The tear-drop shaped icons indicate drumlins, running in a southwest direction parallel to the movement of the glaciers. South of Tweed, the oval area is a till plain. The large shaded area to the lower left is the eastern end of the Oak Ridges Moraine.
