Belleville Purchase: This map, dated September 6, 1821, shows the extent of the 428 acres purchased on either side of the Moira River north from its opening into the Bay of Quinte. Note that the map also identifies the Moira as “Singleton’s River” and the bay as “Bay of Quinty”.
